Teacher Opening At Rutgers University
The Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., is seeking applications for a non-tenured, one-year renewable position for someone to teach introductory courses in the 2018-19 academic year.
Candidates should have a doctorate in women’s and gender studies or a cognate discipline. Courses to be taught include Introduction to Race, Gender and Sexuality; Introduction to Critical Sexuality Studies, and Introduction to Social Justice, Feminist Practices. Some advanced courses, such as Feminist Theory and Comparative Feminisms, may also be taught, if needed.
Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, a letter of interest, samples of written work, evidence of teaching effectiveness and three letters of recommendation as email attachments to Mary Trigg, chair of the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, at trigg@womenstudies.rutgers.edu
