In the Streets of Cairo
These amateur videos of the turmoil in Egypt have been provided by Alia Arafa, who wrote the article “Morsi of Egypt After One Year” in the current issue of the newsletter. Through images and sound they convey the violence, confusion and immediacy—and moments of compassion—of the struggle in the streets of the beleaguered country.
The above link is a video showing members of the Muslim Brotherhood throwing young people from the roof of a building during anti-Morsi protests on June 30. The man with a long beard is carrying an Al Qaeda black flag.
